Get Involved!

Heart of Horse Sense needs volunteers to help in a variety of ways, both with and without horses.  There are so many ways you can help!  This is an opportunity to work with an organization who will be providing important services to our local community.

Our volunteers help at HOHS-funded farms with things like barn and farm support, horse care and support.

Our volunteers also help the organization with events, fundraising, outreach & education, and more!

Saturdays on the Farm

Weekly volunteering has begun!

Each Saturday from 9:30am-12:30pm,
come volunteer at Horse Sense farm.

Each Saturday we do some Service including:

  • scrubbing buckets

  • weeding labyrinth

  • cleaning arena office

  • projects to keep the farm shipshape

  • whatever else needs doing!

Each Saturday we do some Learning including:

  • Equine Assisted Learning Experiences facilitated by Jake, Shannon, or other Horse Sense staff, with volunteers as participants!

  • Learning Natural Horsemanship with Richard, or Horse Support with Kathleen Berlick, Mary Begley, Jake, or Shannon

  • Horse Grooming: Offer special treatments & vitamins & minerals, take a horse to a sweet spot of clover and hang out, or whatever!

Learning activities cycle throughout the month.

We are excited about having a weekly recurring day for volunteers to show up,
do some good and get and give some horse loving!
