Veterans Healing Farm Equine Therapy Boot Camp

Veterans Healing Farm Equine Therapy Boot Camp

Veteran’s Healing Farm and Horse Sense of the Carolinas invite you to join us for a weekend Boot Camp to explore the power of horses to heal humans. This Boot Camp is open to veterans who would like to explore new healing opportunities for themselves and to veterans who are interested in helping other veterans heal through the transformative power of horses.

Whether you are new to horses or have a lifetime of experience, there is always something to be learned from interacting with them. Horses provide veterans and their families a door into working through challenges great and small, whether improving communication, increasing responsiveness to the needs of self and others, or practicing skills related to managing trauma and anxiety.

Over the weekend, you will have the opportunity to engage in Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) exercises and activities with our herd of resuce horses, learn about different EAL/EAP models and the theories behind them, and how to take your experience with you and share it in your own community of veterans.

Location: Veterans Healing Farm - Hendersonville, NC

Date(s): Friday, October 11th - Sunday, October 13th

Cost: For Veterans only - FREE of charge. Food and Lodging provided. Veterans are responsible for their own transportation.

Apply HERE today!

FREE WEBINAR: Military Horse Sense - Supporting Veterans with Horses

Do you want to start a program supporting Veterans with horses, but don't know how to reach the Veteran community in your area?

What do you need to know about Veterans to serve Veterans?

What are some things to do, and some things to avoid doing,
when serving Veterans?

Join Shannon Knapp, MA, NLC-EP, EAGALA Advanced, and Jake LaRue, USMC, CPSS, and EAGALA Certified, to find out answers to these questions in our FREE Webinar on Wednesday, Sept 4, 8-9pm EDT

Shannon and Jake have been working together serving veterans since 2013, hosting multi-day/night immersions, day-long retreats, weekly groups, individual therapy and much more, partnering with  Veterans Administration organizations as well as many Veteran Service Programs. Together they have worked with and supported nearly 2000 veterans from World War II to Operation Iraqi Freedom, presenting a range of programs, including therapy, learning and horsemanship offerings. We'd be honored to support you in doing the best job possible for our Veterans!

Can't make it?

We will record the call and send it to you!

Just register for this FREE call!

This FREE CALL is an introduction to our MILITARY HORSE SENSE Training Program, beginning September 9, 2019. Participation in this Free Call earns you a 5% discount when you purchase both the Online Webinar & Onsite Training, both of which go deep into how to best serve our Veteran population. Riding Home: The Power of Horses to Heal (Fall Fund-Raiser)

Heart of Horse Sense invites you to an event focused on the horse-to-human connection and its powerful ability to heal trauma. Tim Hayes, author of "Riding Home" will offer his insights on how horses help humans heal, while horses from Heart of Horse Sense - and Veterans and others who work with them in equine-assisted therapy - will be present for demonstrations of the work they do. Delicious food, libations and music to set your toes tapping will be the backdrop for this celebration of the equine therapists that change lives.
